Weeks 0–2
Breath & Body
The first gathering introduced the King, Warrior, Magician, and Lover. Over the next two weeks, begin by noticing two everyday experiences: your breath and your body.
For the next two weeks, you are invited to choose one of these two doors. Try the practice two or three times. You can pause or skip as needed. There is nothing to submit. Bring one observation to the next circle.
01The Door of Breath
Breath can be a useful place to notice what is happening right now. In a demanding moment, you may find it changing; there is no correct pattern to achieve.
Observation Practice
Notice your breath during transitions. When you sit down at your desk, stop at a red light, or end a call, pause.
- Are you holding your breath?
- Is the breath rapid or smooth?
- Can you let the next exhale be slightly longer than the inhale?
Guided Support
If you prefer a structured anchor, Box Breathing offers a four-part rhythm. Skip the pauses if they feel uncomfortable.
Open Box Breathing timer02The Door of the Body
We can go through a day without noticing our posture or physical sensations. The invitation is to notice, not to force the body to relax or explain everything it feels.
Observation Practice
Once a day, take sixty seconds to scan your physical posture without trying to change it.
- Where do you notice ease or tension, if anywhere?
- What does the ground feel like beneath your feet?
- Would you like to move, stretch, or simply stay still?
Guided Support
A structured body scan to systematically bring awareness to each region.
Open Body ScanFor high tension
If scanning inward does not feel right, try looking around and noticing the room instead.
Open OrientingPrivate Reflection
There is no space to type here. This is for your own notebook, or simply for thought.
- When I observed my breath this week, what was its default state?
- When I brought attention to my body, what did I notice?
- Did I encounter resistance to pausing? What story did my mind tell me about "not having time"?
